Coffee in its various forms; with milk, black, hot, iced or espresso is a hit with many people across the world. But contrary to belief, coffee is not a beverage that is only meant for drinking, there are other uses for coffee and they are far from cooking.
Coffee can be used for the following purposes:
Face mask: Coffee has a number of benefits for the skin; it removes dead skin and provides an anti-wrinkle effect due to their antioxidant content. Coffee grounds also effectively cleanses oily skin.
Hand deodorizer: Coffee grounds can be used to remove the garlic or onion smell from hands.
Freshner: Coffee effectively fights unpleasant smells in the refrigerator just like it removes bad smells from your hands. If you place a cup of leftover coffee in the refrigerator, it will absorb strong odours.
Anti-cellulite remedy: Anti-cellulite treatment can be made by mixing leftover coffee with some coconut oil to be applied to affected area.
Hair treatment: Coffee makes the hair glossy and is good in treating hair loss because it stimulates hair growth and makes it feel soft and nourished. Brew coffee that can cover the whole hair, massage into hair after it cools, then rinse with water after 20 minutes.
Exfoliator: Coffee is a great natural exfoliant that helps remove dead skin cells.
Cooking: Coffee is a good ingredient for cooking especially baking and production of desserts. Instant coffee can be used to decorate cakes and other desserts as well as for glazes and fillings.
Coffee can also be used as air freshener, furniture polish and as decoration.
