Army donates clothes to 400 less privileged pupils in Zamfara

Nigerian Army 1 brigade Gusau, Zamfara state has donated set of  clothes to 400 less privileged children as part of celebration to mark Nigerian Army day in the state.

 

The donation ceremony held on Saturday at main entrance of Yarima Bakura specialist hospital in Gusau ,Zamfara state capital,consist of clothes, Hijabs, shoes,bags and children wrappers to less privileged in Zamfara state.

 

Speaking during the event,the commanding officer 1 brigade Gusau, Brig. Gen. S. Ahmed stated that the aim of the program is to assist less privileged among the host communities in the area.a

 

Brig Gen S. Ahmed further stated that, the gesture was made by the Chief of Army Staff to mark the Nigerian Army Day Celebration and to further enhance civil military cooperation in the state.

He urged host communities of zamfara to cooperate with the military in their efforts to mitigate insurgency and all forms of criminalities in the state.

 

He further urged people in the state to always support the military positive information about the criminal and avoid given information to bandits.

 

“Miscreants always thwart our efforts in fighting insurgency in the state,People should stop given information to bandits”.

 

Brig.Gen.S.Ahmed disclosed that he lost men while trying to protect farmers in their farms,”We would ensure farmer’s goes to farm God willing”. He prayed.
