APGA holds strategic meeting ahead of April 5 primary in Anambra

As the gubernatorial election approaches on November 8, 2025, in Anambra State, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is working diligently to ensure a smooth primary election scheduled for April 5, 2025.

After a closed-door meeting with party leaders, stakeholders, and local government elected officials, including Mayors and Councillors, held at the International Convention Centre in Awka on Tuesday, the State Governor and National leader of APGA, Prof. Charles Soludo, expressed that the party is fully prepared to conduct a free and credible primary election worthy of emulation.

The Governor emphasized that Anambra is united as one state, one people, with one agenda and one political party.

He stated that the meeting was a precursor to the upcoming primary election on Saturday, ensuring that all members are fully aligned and reflecting on the achievements of his administration over the past three years, while looking ahead to the future.

As the November 8, 2025 gubernatorial election gears up in Anambra State, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is tightening up loose ends to ensure a seamless primary election slated for April 5, 2025.

Speaking to Journalists shortly after a closed door meeting with the party hierarchy including stakeholders, local government elected Mayors and Councillors, held at the International Convention Centre, Awka, on Tuesday, the National leader of the party, Soludo, said APGA is fully prepared to conduct a free and credible primary worthy of emulation.

According to the Governor, Anambra is one state, one people with one agenda and one political party, stating that the meeting was a prelude to the forthcoming Saturday primary election to ensure that everyone is fully aligned and review what the party had achieved through his government for the past three years, in lieu of the future.

The Governor who expressed happiness that his administration has substantially delivered on its contract with ndị Anambra, revealed that in the history of APGA, the party has never been this united in an election year and added that there seems to be a general consensus for his government and the party to continue to remain in power.

The convener and the Special Adviser to the governor on Political matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, in his remark, commended the governor Soludo’s continued commitment towards the development of the State.
