Senator Ayo Adeseun
A former Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Ayo Adeseun, has assured of the readiness of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to take over the affairs of the state come 2023.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s congress in Ibadan, Adeseun said the party is ready for the congress and optimistic that it would unseat the incumbent state governor.
He said despite the differences among members of the party, the outcome of the congress would speak volume as they are very much excited and hopeful for a positive outcome.
He disclosed that: “Leaders, elders, and all the zonal leaders came together in Ibadan where we resolved the differences between the various interest groups in the party and we have a unified approach to Saturday’s congress by His grace.
“Though, when you have this kind of meeting, you cannot always expect everybody to be happy, but in all, we are good for the congress.
“We have set the ball in motion; leaders have already gone to their various constituencies to inform, educate and sensitise our members, so the reality is on ground and I’m optimistic that come Saturday, we would not have any issue.
“The outcome of Saturday’s congress will have a lot to say about our party as we are ready to unseat the incumbent governor of the state, Engineer Seyi Makinde,” he said.
