APC LG congress: Kebbi elects consensus officers

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has elected its officers through consensus across the 21 local government areas of the state during the party congress that took place today.

At the Justice Ibrahim Umaru Primary School, the venue for Birnin-Kebbi local government congress, comprising of 15 wards and was witnessed by a National Officer of the Party, Mr. Osita Okechwuku and attended by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN). All the delegates and stakeholders of the party agreed to consensus to elect their National delegates.

In his remarks, the leader of the party’s delegate committee from the party’s headquarter, Abuja, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, applauded the Kebbi State Chapter of the APC for a peaceful conduct of ward and local government congreeses, noting that in all the state, it is only Kebbi State that has conducted a crisis-free election.

While speaking, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Nigeria explained that all the APC members, stakeholders generally adopted consensus for their congresses from wards to local government and state levels.

Speaking in the same vein, the Personal Assistant to the Governor, Alhaji Faruk Musa Enabo stated that all the stakeholders generally agreed and signed the resolution that from wards to local government and state level elections shall be through consensus.
