APC guber candidate, Aliyu, commends INEC, security over Sokoto rerun

The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2019 gubernatorial election in Sokoto State, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the rerun election in the state.

Ahmed Aliyu said this after he performed his civic rights at about 10:30 am in his polling unit, Tudun Wada ‘A’, located at Magaji Rafi primary school, Sokoto.

He also praised the security agencies deployed for the election for professional conduct which he described as one of the best.

He said, “I am very impressive not only the turnout of people in this polling unit but also coming out so early.

“I also commend the security agencies, especially the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps and others.

“I urge everyone to continue to be orderly and ensure the election is crisis free.”

Ahmed Aliyu further congratulated INEC for the early distribution of materials and mobilisation which he said helped in the early arrival of the election materials especially in Sokoto metropolis.
