Ahead of the November 6, 2021, governorship election in Anambra State, the state chapter chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, (PFN), Bishop Moses Ezedebego, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to be an impartial empire by giving all the political parties and their candidates equal and level playing ground during the election.
He charged politicians also to refrain from conducts and utterances that could instigate violence, as the campaign commences.
Bishop Ezedebego, made the call, on Tuesday, at the state PFN Headquarters, Amawbia, in Awka South Local Government Area of the state, during a press conference organised by the state PFN in conjunction with PFN Network for good governance, ahead of her annual PFN Day/Prayer Rally, slated for September 17th, 2021.
Ezedebego announced that the national president of PFN, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, and other top leaders of PFN would on September 17th, 2021, stormed Anambra State, to pray for the success of the November 6th, 2021, governorship election
According to him, Bishop Wale Oke would also pray for the people of the state and for the peace and unity of Nigeria.
Speaking further, the chairman, called on voters to guard their voters after voting and resist any form of rigging in the coming election.
He noted that any money gotten to rig elections is blood money and would bring generational curses to the people involved.
He advised all candidates participating in the election to do their campaign without violence.
He disclosed that Anambra State PFN among others had set up a PFN for good governance committee headed by Dr Amaechi Nwachukwu, to help galvanise and ensure good representation of Ndi-Anambra in governance.
He commended the state Governor, Willie Obiano for his purposeful leadership and for his good works in Anambra State, especially, the Airport project and other areas of development across the state.
The chairman of PFN for the good governance committee, Dr Amaechi Nwachukwu, in his brief speech, said he would use the platform to mobilise registered voters for a candidate that would consolidate the achievement of the present administration of Governor Willie Obiano.
