Air traffic controllers re-elect Agoro as president

The Nigerian Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) has re-elected its incumbent president, Comrade Abayomi Agoro  for a second time.

Agoro, polled 238 votes to defeat his opponent, Hussaini Jubril who scored 175 in the total of 413 votes  cast.

Speaking after his presentation of certificate of return, Agoro thanked members for the peaceful online conduct of the election and assured them of greater struggle ahead in unity.

Agoro while assuring members of the executives that their welfare would be addressed accordingly with the promise to raise the bar of the Nigerian Air Traffic Controllers Association, remarked: “We will continue to engage those in authority to see that our welfare is taken seriously and we should also try as much as possible to dedicate ourself to the profession”

Speaking on their re – election, the general secretary of NATCA, Reverend Felix Agbonlahor attributed their coming back to good work and dedication to duty.

Agbonlahor told journalists after being sworn in that the challenges were enormous during the first tenure with questions of being able to perform in office but noted that support from members made him to scale through the challenges.
