Agbebaku, Edekor elected 8th Edo Assembly Speaker, Deputy

A two-time member of the Edo State House of Assembly, representing Owan West Constituency, Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, has been elected as Speaker  8th Edo State House of Assembly.
His election as speaker was sequel to a motion moved by Hon.Natasha Osawaru member-elect representing Egor Constituency and seconded by member-elect representing Esan North East 1 Constituency.
However, following the absence of opposition, Hon. Agbebaku was elected as the speaker.
Hon. Marian Edekor, member-elect  representing Esan North East 2 was also elected Deputy Speaker of the House, following a motion moved by member-elect,  representing Ovia South West Constituency Hon. Destiny Enabulele.
The motion was seconded by the member-elect representing Etsako West 2 Constituency.
As at the time of filing in this report, the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker elect were administered with the oath of allegiance and office.
