After Shalaye, Tystringz works on new EP

To consolidate on the feedback to his debut single Oretayo Fatokun popularly known as Tystringz, Afrofusion artiste, has set next year target for his new EP entitled “Shalaye”, the melodious romantic song, which was released with a video a few weeks ago has been making waves across digital streaming platforms.
The self-taught multi-instrumental artiste who can play five musical instruments is excited to showcase his eclectic range of music, just as he describes his music as Afrofusion, a blend of different elements.
Although the nurse opportunity for a dream collaboration with some of the artistes he admires, nonetheless, the singer is focused on first showcasing only his material on his proposed EP. Some favourites he wishes to collaborate with include Tems, Show Dem Camp, Zinolesky, Wizkid, and Davido.
Speaking on his plans, he revealed, “I have not thought through the number of tracks yet but I have a plan for one most likely next year since I have made a lot of music this year and by the end of it, I would be able to selectively decide on the ones to drop. I have intentions to be the only person on my EP, as I would be showcasing different styles of Afrobeats-Afrofusion to the world.

From his formative years, the singer has been shaped by different cultures. Born 28 years ago by a father who hails from Oyo State and an Ebira mother from Kogi, Tystringz grew up in Sango-Otta, Ogun State. He began his Primary education at King Solomon Academy, Sango-Ota, a school owned by his Grandparents. After, he proceeded to Ambassadors College and later went to study Computer Science at Covenant University, Otta where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in 2013. Still motivated, he went to pursue his Master’s Degree in Computer Science at Loyola University Chicago in 2015 and graduated in May 2016.
