Adeshina seeks govt support for grassroots filmmakers

Published by

Movie producer and director, Abiola Paul Adeshina, is working on a movie project titled: ‘Eyi’ to be released in 2022.

The movie will be featuring upcoming actress Adeola Olushola (Imo), actor Tolu Ajiboye and other actors and actresses.

The much-anticipated movie is a captivating story of love, lust, and unforgiveness.

Olushola will be acting in the lead role alongside Ajiboye. Olushola will be acting as Eyi while Ajiboye will also be acting as Bayo in the movie.

Speaking with journalists on Monday during a script conference held at Bodija Royal Suites in Ibadan, Olushola, the young actress who is also a musician explained that the movie is about a smart lady named ‘Eyi’  who never believes in forgiveness.

Ajiboye also hinted that his character is about a man ‘Bayo’ who is a focused and determined student.

“Bayo in this movie is a smart and intelligent guy. The utmost message in this movie is how to forgive, while you also learn that not everything you desire is what you get,” he said.

Speaking, the movie producer, Abiola Paul Adeshina, urged the audience to watch out for the project, which according to him will be released by next year.

Adeshina, however, seeks the support of the government for movie producers at the grassroots level, adding that the industry is struggling to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
