Bayelsans are shocked by the news that an 80-year-old ex-serviceman, Nathaniel Reuben Tom-Isele, will be leading over 950 runners on an 8 kilometre marathon race scheduled to hold on the 13th of August, 2021.
According to the organisers of the Unity Marathon which is being sponsored by the member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Brass/Nembe Federal Constituency, Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, the participants include 200 women and 750 men.
Tribune Online learnt that Elder Tom-Isele, who is an indigene of the Okpoama Kingdom in Brass Local Government Area has been medically cleared and certified fit to participate in a marathon targeted at discovering long-distance runners of Bayelsa extraction.
