He said the Convocation lecture, titled, “Nature of State, National Ideology and Modelling of Higher Education for Sustaining Development” will hold on Thursday, December 9, 2021, while the lecture will be delivered by a renowned and world-class academic leader, from the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, University of Ibadan,

He frowned over the destruction of infrastructural facilities in the school by the students during the no-fee no examination protest but assured that all perpetrators of the violent acts would be fished out and punished accordingly.
He said: “I find it difficult to believe the level of destruction carried out by the student. We will fish out the perpetrators. What happened was very unfortunate. It will not happen again.
“Students have been protesting but there was no destruction of properties. Such destruction will not occur again. We are assuring our would-be investors that such action will not occur again.
“The university Senate is working and the report of the investigation will be made public. We are not happy about the destruction in the Senate Building and other parts of the institution. We will take decisive action after the report is out.”
