50 year old tricycle operator allegedly defiles 9 year old girl, pays her N100

AN Ikeja High Court on Monday heard how a 50-year-old man, Kelvin Ezeigbo allegedly defiled a nine-year-old girl inside a tricycle popularly called Marwa and thereafter paid her with N100.

According to the Investigating Police Officer, Anasa Omolara, the incident happened sometime in April 2016, at Oke-Ira, Ogba, a suburb of Lagos State.

“The incident happened around 9.pm. The victim was on her way to run an errand for her aunt whom she was staying with. The defendant, a neighbour whom she referred to as Baba, parked his Marwa beside her and dragged her inside.

“He then proceeded to cover her mouth with his hands, removed her panties and forcefully inserted his penis into her vagina.

“He thereafter gave her N100 after defiling her. The next morning her aunt noticed how she was walking and insisted on knowing what happened.

“The girl opened up and told her aunt that it was Baba (Ezeigbo) that had carnal knowledge of her. She was badly bruised and bleeding from her vagina. She was in pain and could barely walk. She was referred to the Mirabel Center where it was confirmed that she was actually defiled,” Omolara said.

The presiding Judge, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo thereafter adjourned the matter till April 11 for the continuation of trial.
