Kano Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje
Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed all political appointees aspiring for elective offices in the forthcoming 2023 general elections to resign from their respective positions.
This was just as the Governor also directed that the resignation said the respective person must be between now to Monday 18th April 2022.
However, this will be in tandem and in compliance with Section 84 (12) of the newly amended Electoral Act.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar, a copy made available to pressmen on Sunday.
According to the statement, the directive said “they are given between now to Monday 18th April 2022, to resign.”
