THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Nasarawa State, David Ombugadu, has said that come 2019, the PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar will unseat the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking with journalists at a programme organized by the Coalition of Northern Christian Groups, Ombugadu said if elected as governor of Nasarawa state, he would focus more on youth development and infrastructure investment.

He expressed hope that Atiku who he said has been tested and trusted would unseat President Buhari because according to him, the country has accepted the PDP Presidential candidate.

“Atiku has the capacity to unseat, this is the man that was tested, trusted and that is why he is the President-to-be come 2019. He got the kind of support across the country, you can see everybody in Nigeria is ‘Atikulating’, so the victory is guaranteed,” Ombugadu said.

Furthermore on Nasarawa state 2019 politics, he said: “Good governance is about inclusiveness and what we came to do here is a politics of inclusion where we are expected to capture all the interest of our people in a document and begin to translate this document into infrastructure investment, into youth empowerment, women empowerment, that is the objective if this meeting, it is a process of implementing good governance.

“I am multi-skilled, not just a barber, I have a lot of skills, I am a very creative person, I did a lot of things for survival, and the reason being that am very creative, and that is why today part of my policy trust is youth empowerment. The first thing I did in office in 2011, was to train 650 youths on various skills because I believed the only way to take youths out of the streets is to build their capacity through training and human capital development.

“I like to be very professional in everything i’m doing, you have to look at the IGR of the state and you have to look at other sources of revenue, then you sit down with the labour union and agree on a template that will be implementable in the state, but of course my focus is the welfare of the civil servants of the state and also infrastructural investment in state so that we can boost economic activities.

“For us to change governance to what we want to what we desire, everybody must participate, you must make your PVC to work, you must come out and protect the vote, you must come out and make the right choice, you must come out and make democracy work.”

On his acceptance across the state, Ombugadu said, “I am a manager of all the faiths, all the interests in the state,  I am not just a Christian leader but am a leader of everybody in Nasarawa State, my task is to manage and harmonize and to promote peaceful coexistence among all tribes, all religion, and that is what am doing. We still have the same meeting with the Muslim youths so that so that we can all put all our heads together.”
