2018, year of success to Adamawa teachers, NUT Chairman said

THE Adamawa State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teacher (NUT), Comrade Rodney Nathan at his office in Yola assessed the gone 2018 to be a year of many successes to the primary and secondary teachers of public schools in the State.

According to him 2018 was a year that the teacher’s salaries arrears was reduced to the barest minimum and the Governor of the State, Senator Muhammadu Umar Jibrilla Bindo, has approved the retirement age of his member from 35 to 40 service and 60 to 65 years of age.

Rodney consider the 2018 as a welfare year to all the teachers of the state, a year which recorded a huge success to the teachers in terms of prompt payment of salaries with high productivity of work by them.

He revealed that the teachers in the State are not owning the State government a Penny and many of them were promoted accordingly.

He showered encomium of praises to Gov Jibrilla led administration to have prioritize teachers salaries in the state before any other sector.

By a way of giving general assessment and postmortem of the 2018 he appreciate Bindo as the best Governor who is giving much attention to all public schools.

Nathan who is the zonal chairman of the nineteen northern State Said with the much complains his colleagues are making from other States, Bindo is no doubt doing well in terms of staff welfare and General performance of the pupils.

“Gov Bindo have given much priority to education to the extend that the last SSCE (WAEC) results  were much better than what it use to be before his assumption into office as the chairman.” Nathan Said
