According to him, out of the twenty new cases, two died at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) while the remaining Eighteen patients are responding to treatment at the same hospital.
He revealed that the 20 new cases came from four different locations within Bauchi metropolis the affected areas are Danmar A and B Isangaya school, Hardo within Kobi ward, Makama B at Nasarawa Jahun and Makama A Gwallaga.
The Chairman said that his agency has adequate drugs like ORS solutions, chlorine for disinfection etc, that will help the public against this disease. And they have started disinfecting the whole areas in the state.

Pharmacist Ibrahim Gamawa then called on the people of the state to cultivate good personal hygiene, they should also practice the habit of keeping their environment clean and they should always cover their food items properly adding that by doing that, it makes the disease not to spread in the state.
According to him, “allowing your environment to be dirty, not washing hands and eating anyhow is the cause of the outbreak of cholera. If we keep a good hygiene, we should able to do a lot of hand washing during this period by doing all this, this disease will die away from the way it started”.
He said that a sensitisation campaign in the media and other channels is being carried to sensitise people on the disease and how to avoid it.
