Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has disclosed that suspected armed bandits operating in the Eastern Senatorial District of the state killed fifteen people in two separate attacks in Ilela and Goronyo local government areas.

The governor confirmed this shortly before presenting the state 2022 appropriation bill to the State House of Assembly on Monday.

He said twelve persons were killed in Ilela and three in Goronyo between Sunday night and Monday morning.

The governor who described the killings as callous, however, condoled with the people of the affected communities and the state in general over the sad development.
