​NYCN gets reflective jackets in Ibadan

IN a bid to reduce traffic​ congestion in Oy​o​ State, a philanthropist, Dr Kazeem Akande​ ​has distributed reflective jackets to members of the National Youths Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Ibadan, the state capital.

The distribution of the items was held during the inauguration of the Traffic Control Strategic Programme (TCSP) recently organised by the NYCN, at Iwo road, Ibadan.

Chairman of the NYCN, Oyo State branch, Comrade Abdulsalam Quadri, explained that the NYCN, in collaboration with other security agencies, organised the initiative in order to reduce traffic congestion associated with community anniversaries or any festive period.

He said that the TCSP was introduced in accordance with the NYCN’s agenda, one of which is to keep the society at peace.

Quadri, however, advised road users to always abide by traffic regulations so as to reduce road accidents.
