Borno Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the appointment of Professor Haruna Dantoro Dlakwa as the acting Vice Chancellor of Borno State University, Maiduguri.
This is contained in a press statement by the Secretary to Borno State Government (SSG), Bukar Tijani, in Maiduguri on Wednesday.
The SSG noted that Zulum’s approval follows the recommendation of the university’s governing council after its 10th meeting held on 15 April 2024.

Professor Dlakwa was the deputy vice-chancellor of academic services at Borno State University until this appointment.
According to the SSG, “Governor Zulum has extended warm congratulations to Professor Haruna Dantoro Diakwa and expects the best until the substantive Vice-Chancellor is appointed for the University.”
