Zuckerberg shows off $900K wristwatch at Meta announcement

Mark Zuckerberg, the chairman and CEO of Meta Platforms Inc., drew attention during his latest announcement, not only for his decision to end third-party fact-checking on U.S. platforms but also for his extravagant wristwatch.

In a video posted on Facebook, Zuckerberg was seen wearing the Greubel Forsey Hand Made 1, a rare timepiece priced at an astonishing $900,000.

The Greubel Forsey Hand Made 1 is a pinnacle of luxury watchmaking, with only 2-3 units produced annually.

Retailing at $895,500 (excluding taxes), it is nearly entirely handcrafted, requiring hundreds of hours for meticulous assembly and finishing.

Michel Nydegger, CEO of Greubel Forsey, expressed his excitement about Zuckerberg’s choice, stating: “It’s a pleasure to see someone shaping the digital world embracing our craftsmanship.”

This isn’t the first time Zuckerberg has made headlines for his horological choices. Previously, he has been spotted wearing pieces from elite Swiss brands like Patek Philippe and FP Journe. However, his acquisition of the Hand Made 1 signals his progression into the upper echelons of watch collecting.
