Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has directed telecommunication services be restored in the state capital, Gusau, from today (Friday).
A statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Zailani Bappa, on Friday said the move was intended to ease the hardship faced by the people.
“Government finds it necessary to ease the tight measures after the recorded successes. The operations have no doubt destabilsed the criminals terrorising the state.
“To this end, the governor promised that his administration will continue to monitor closely the unfolding developments and will announce further decisions at the appropriate time,” the statement added.
