Zamfara govt collaborates with stakeholders against cholera outbreak

Following the outbreak of cholera in Zamfara State, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Health, Dr Aisha Mohammed Anka, has disclosed that the government has taken measures and is collaborating with relevant stakeholders and development partners to address the outbreak of diseases in the state.

Speaking on Friday evening at the Anka Cholera isolation centre in Anka town, Commissioner for Health Dr Aisha Anka stated this when she received the State Governor, Dauda Lawal, who visited the isolation camp at Anka to sympathise with the victims of the cholera outbreak in the state.

Dr Aisha Anka disclosed that the ministry, along with some stakeholders and development partners such as Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), have been proactive since the outbreak was reported in the state.
