Zamfara: APC group accuses Jaji of secret PDP alliance ahead of 2027

A fresh political crisis is unfolding in Zamfara as the APC Peace Initiatives Group has launched a scathing attack on Hon. Aminu Jaji, accusing him of clandestine dealings with the opposition and working to destabilise the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.

In a strongly worded statement, the group alleged that Jaji is secretly collaborating with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) while orchestrating internal divisions within the APC.

They further claimed that his support group is fuelling political intolerance and that he has been financing youth-led campaigns to spread falsehoods against the Minister of State for Defence, Mohammed Bello Matawalle, and other APC leaders.

Speaking to journalists in Sokoto on Friday, the Secretary General of the group, Alhaji Ahmed Bako, called on the APC national leadership to intervene before Jaji’s alleged defection plans cause irreparable damage to the party in Zamfara.

“Despite these challenges, the APC leadership in the state has been commended for its maturity and commitment to maintaining party unity,” the statement added.
