Zamfara: APC condemns killing of two, destruction of party property

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential campaign council (PCC) has strongly condemned the destruction of its properties and the subsequent killing of two people by the suspected political thugs in the state.

Addressing newsmen today shortly after inspecting the destroyed Bola Tinubu’s campaign offices in Gusau, the state capital, the Zamfara state Coordinator for 2023 APC PCC, Senator Kabiru Marafa lamented that the celebration of PDP Governorship victory has turned to unleash terror on innocent victims in the state.

According to him, suspected political thugs have inflicted serious damage to properties that belong to APC supporters, and carted away millions of naira worth of property in the state.

He lamented that the state secretariat of the campaign council for Bola Tinubu, other offices and the residence of some APC supporters were reduced to nothing by suspected supporters of PDP.

“Two innocent people were also killed as residents of Alhaji Babangida, a supporter of APC in the state.

“Entire members of APC PCC in the state have condemned in strong terms the violent destruction of properties, shortly after the declaration of Governorship result. This action is a complete negation of the principles of peaceful coexistence and political accommodation which we are known for.

“We abhor and repugn these brutish and villainous political tactics employed by the criminal elements”.

The PCC Coordinator, therefore called on the Governor-elect to come out and address the issues of attack and destruction of their properties and employ a way forward to future occurrence in the state.

“The Zamfara State people from all walks of life must rise and condemn this wanton attack and destruction of properties”.

He further called on the security agencies to investigate, arrest and prosecute the perpetrators of this carnage to serve as a deterrent to others.
