Zambian president lauds Adeboye’s passion for Christianity growth across globe

Published by

Zambian president, Egar Chagwa Lungu, has lauded the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on his enthusiasm over the growth of Christianity in Africa and across the globe, as well as indentifying with Zambians over the steady growth it has recorded in recent time.

Lungu said this when Adeboye and his wife, Folu, paid the president a visit in his office, as part of the RCCG overseer’s tour of five countries.

Lungu said: “I was profoundly honoured and delighted to confer with Pastor Adeboye who is in the city for the work of God. The man of God has expressed happiness over the transformation that Zambia has attained since 1993 when he first visited our beautiful country. I briefed him that Zambia is governed by a man who strongly believes in God.”

Lungu told Adeboye that he had declared a day of national prayer, fasting and reconciliation as well as appointed a cleric, Reverend Godfridah Sumaili, as the Minister for Religious Affairs and National Guidance.

TribuneChurch gathered that Adeboye is currently on a five country-tour, which are India, Thailand, Seychelles, Uganda and Zambia.
