Zainab Habibu Aliyu: NAHCON commends NDLEA

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has commended the effort of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for unravelling the drug trafficking circle of notorious criminals for planting drugs in innocent travellers’ luggage thereby implicating them in a crime they know nothing about.

Fatima Sanda Usara, Head, Public Affairs Division in a statement said NAHCON would continue to work together with the anti-narcotic agency in ensuring a drug-incident-free Umrah season and Hajj 2019 period.

NAHCON which collaborated with the Nigerian mission in Saudi Arabia to secure the release of Zainab Habibu Aliyu said it would continue to partner with sister agencies, to deploy the necessary staff and technology at Hajj departure centres nationwide to ensure the security of pilgrims and their luggage against abuse and drug peddling in any guise.
