Yusuff Adewale Received Honorary Doctorate Degree From European-American University

Yusuff Adewale, a renowned agro-preneur and the CEO of the foremost agricultural real estate in Nigeria, WaleAgro Services Nigeria, has been awarded a Honorary doctorate degree from the prestigious European American University (EAU).

He was awarded an Honorary doctorate in entrepreneurship and Business management in recognition of his hardwork, visionary leadership, dedication and outstanding contributions to the agribusiness and the agricultural real estate sector.

As an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos business school, and about a decade and half experience in the agricultural food and real estate industry, Adewale has distinguished himself as a trailblazer, driving innovation and growth in the sector.

Under Dr. Adewale’s leadership, WaleAgro Nigeria Limited has experienced remarkable success, attributed to his wealth of knowledge, passion for excellence, and innovation.

He said: “This came as a pleasant surprise for me and I feel honoured. I have never expected this prestigious honour from the European American University. I see it as a reward of the hard work I have put into agricbusiness and real estate over the years.”

The Vice Chancellor of EAU, Professor Josephine Chinjioma Egbuta, presented the award, stating, “In recognition of his remarkable entrepreneurial achievements and significant contributions to the field of agribusiness, the Senate and Award Committee of European American University is pleased to confer upon Yusuff Adewale the Doctor of Science (D.Sc) in Entrepreneurship and Business Management, Honoris Causa, with all its rights and privileges.”

Fidelis Amaechi, director, African Programs, European American University, in presentation of the award, said Adewale is a man of achievement hence he is being honoured for his developmental initiatives in the business world, especially agricbusiness.

The Dominican and Panama based university had other delegates around to present the award, among whom is Freeman Ani, research fellow and author, European American University, who is also a professor.

Yusuff Adewale, who further appreciated the university and well wishers present at the event said: “I do not take this honorary degree for granted and I will take it as a challenge to make more contributions to the agricultural business and real estate in Nigeria and Africa.”

According to him, “ With all the millions of hectares of arable land available for production of food, Nigeria as well as Africa should be the food basket of the world; unfortunately, that’s not the case and until we make access to affordable farmland possible, then food security will be a tall order”

“This award will propel me to continue to do more in the agricbusiness world until we are food secured as a nation and make Africa the food basket of the World.

The pro-chancellor said: “The honorary doctorate degree is the university’s initiative to reward African ambassadors who have conquered the world due to the quality, important and continuous contributions to national development and humanity Yusuff Adewale was chosen on the basis of his distinguished reputations, outstanding achievements, exemplary leadership and extraordinary contributions to national development in Africa.”

Egbuta further noted that the honour is well deserved. She also encouraged the recipient not to relent in his good works.
