Madukasi revealed that the gesture is part of Governor Willie Obiano-led administration’s efforts to cushion the effects of the high cost of transportation usually associated with the yuletide season.
While expressing optimism that the governor’s gesture which she described as humane and people-oriented will aid in alleviating the high cost of transportation, Madukasi stressed that the target is the densely populated areas.
While extolling Governor Obiano’s efforts in all sectors of the state economy, Madukasi called on the citizens to report anyone who collects money for using the buses.
She added that a monitoring team has been put in place to check lapses as there are special packages for drivers of such buses.
