Yuletide: NSCDC  deploys 780 personnel, beefs up security in Gombe

Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command, has deployed 780 personnel for security of lives and property during and after the yuletide period across the state.

The deployment, as contained in a statement by SC Buhari Saad, Command PRO, is to provide adequate security in order to ensure hitch-free yuletide activities in the state.

The NSCDC Commandant, Muhammad Bello Muazu, has also directed Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and Tactical Commanders drawn from the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), Special Weapons and Tactics  (SWAT), Chemical, Biological Radiological  Nuclear and Explosives  (CBRNE) to ensure that adequate personnel are deployed at all vulnerable points across the state. 

The personnel are also to safeguard all places of worship, critical infrastructures, designated markets, motor parks including recreational centers. 

Muazu  therefore appealed to the citizens and residents of the state to be moderate in their celebrations and be vigilant and security conscious. 

He maintained that personnel will display a high sense of vigour and professionalism while discharging their duties. 

He equally assured members of the public that the NSCDC, Gombe State Command, will be polite and civil but firm in ensuring security and safety of lives and property.
