Youths honour Chief Ayorinde for selfless service towards nation building

Congress of Nigerian Youth (CONYO), has honoured the Principal Partner of BA Law LLP, Chief Mobolaji Olukayode Ayorinde SAN, with an Award of Service To The Nation in recognition of his contributions to the nation development and selfless service to humanity.

The Southwest Coordinator of CONYO, Amb Ololade Paul, who presented the award plaque to Chief Ayorinde at his head office in Victoria Island on Monday February 26, 2018. said in his brief remarks, that the group carefully selected the recipient and that the honour was based on merit. He urged Chief Mobolaji Olukayode Ayorinde to see the award as an opportunity to challenge and spur him to do more.

While responding, Chief Ayorinde expressed his gratitude to CONYO for considering him worthy of the honour as he pray to God to give him more wisdom and strength to do more to justify this award.

“I thank CONYO for honouring me with this award and I’m grateful and promise to continue to serve humanity with total commitment and dedication”.

He said, “I thank the youths for this honour bestowed on me and I enjoin the youths to key into certain initiatives. The federal government policy on youths. The bill that has been passed from the floor of the National Assembly, the #NotTooYoungToRun bill were on the front burner for pushing towards its passage.

Chief Ayorinde in his remarks proposed that, every state government must have at least 50 per cent of its officials constituted by persons under 40 years of age and at least half of this number should be women. This is the time for the youths to take their rightful place and see what they can do to move the country forward.

The youth are leaders of today and not tomorrow’s leader anymore, and therefore should get involved in running the affairs of this country, the future is now. I am implying to receive it. Because I know it is not only in recognition of what I have done but it’s a call to do more in service to our youths. So I offer myself moving forward, to do everything I can to ensure that the welfare of our youths,

“On my own part I will continue to be supportive to the youths. I will continue to do my very best to ensure that we create that enabling environment for our youths to thrive.”
