
NIGERIAN youths have been encouraged to be good ambassadors wherever they found themselves in order to sustain peace and tranquility of the country.
The encouragement was given by one of the gubernatorial aspirants under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe state, Umar Bello while speaking with Journalists in Gombe shortly after submitting his nomination form at the PDP state Secretariat over the weekend.
The aspirant said that his intention to join the race was to ensure that if given the party ticket and eventually elected, he will continue with the good programmes anf policies so far carried out by the incumbent Governor, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo in line with the PDP manifesto.
Umar Bello said that, “As we all know, the priority of Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo when he assumed office was Education, Health, Agriculture and infrastructure development which every Nigerian will testify to, for me if given the party ticket and eventually elected as the next Governor, I will build on this programme to make Gombe greater “.

According to him, his administration when put in place will not hesitate to empower the youths who are known and regarded as the engine room of any government the world over.
“Any successful government must carry the people along to enable them witness the dividends of democracy in order to have a sense of belonging in the society”, he stated.
He, however, advised his supporters not to relent in handling their PVCs with care even as he said that they can only vote candidates of their choice if they have the Permanent Voters Card.
The aspirant who did not hide his feelings on the spate of political violence called on supporters of the party in the state to shun any form of political violence before, during and after the elections pointing out that without peace there will be no meaningful development.
