Youths are catalysts for national development ―YVAN president

The National president of Young Visioneers’ Association of Nigeria (YVAN), Mr Ezekiel Oladimeji, has called on Nigerian youths to promote effective leadership, especially during the 2019 elections.

He noted that youths were catalysts for national development and charged them to contribute to the country’s growth and development by sensitising on the need to register and vote during the forthcoming general election.

Oladimeji, who gave these charges in a press statement he issued, signed and made available to the Nigerian Tribune, In Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Sunday, also contained activities marking the annual General Conference of YVAN.

According to the statement, part of activities marking the conference is a young presidential aspirants dialogue, which would hold in Abuja, on Saturday, April 7, and would be preceded by a Voter Card sensitisation rally on Friday, April 6.

”YVAN is also organising Young Presidential Aspirants Dialogue, which will feature 17 young presidential aspirants, among whom are: Daniel Akinla; Nwosu Enyinnaya; Matthias Tsedo; Ahmed Buhari; Eragbe Anslem; Adamu Garbaand Clement Jimbo.

Others are; Victor Ani-Laju; Eniola Ojajuni; Donald Igwegbu; Nicolas Felix; Mrs Godstime Sidney; Ibrahim Lajada; Victor Okhai; Dr Thomas Wilson; Dr Ibrahim Abubakar and Mr Jaye Gaskia,” the statement added.

He said the event was aimed at ensuring, among other things, that Nigerian youths took their rightful place in the society through effective participation in the leadership process.
