Youth group vows to push out aged political leaders with 80m voters

A youth group, under the aegis of “Advocates for Collective Transformation and Youth Empowerment Initiative (ACT)” has vowed to mobilise 80 million youth voters to wipe out aged political leaders in Nigeria.

It also promised to return the political power and government offices to the Nigerian youth.

While addressing newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, National President ACT, Dr. Oluwatayo Fashogbon said the group will use the overwhelming population of the youths in the country to position leaders into government offices, starting from the legislators to the President of the country.

Fashogbon who decried the present status of the country in all aspect of governance, said that: “the group will ensure that the present generation does not pass inherited corruption from unpatriotic heroes past to the coming generation.”

In his words. “Sincerely we youths are not happy with the present status in all aspects of governance but ACT is not wired to throw blames at any government but to solve problems. We are a team of critical thinkers, problem solvers, culturally aware and religiously unbiased Nigerians, who believe in the future of Nigeria and are ready to fix Nigeria.

“And now that the Youths (18-55years) of today are matured enough to become the leaders of our own generation, ACT is the vehicle to drive us all to that dream place.

“ACT is a youth political movement with one singular and superior vision, which is to position leaders into government offices in Nigeria, starting from the legislators at the local government to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“We will use our overwhelming population to take back what actually belongs to us, which we have loaned out consciously with withdraw-able collateral to our trusted fathers who have betrayed that same trust.”

“We will move from village to village, to support the dreams of our members to actualize their dreams and empower their people positively. It is time to use our power, our voice, our teaming 80million votes to position the right leaders, because youths own the power.”
