Your well-being, key to your business success, experts counsel female entrepreneurs

NIGERIAN women, especially entrepreneurs, have been asked to give their well-being the utmost priority it deserves, to enable them to make a success of their businesses.

The advice was given by an array of resource persons at this year’s edition of the Mamador’s August meeting held over the weekend in Lagos.

Speaking at the meeting, Parenting Coach and Child Development Consultant, Sandra Oluwadare, believes business success is not only determined by the worth of a woman’s business, but also her ability to keep and nurture the home front.

Sandra, who was speaking on the topic: “Parenting in This Generation”, argued that today’s women must know that modern-day parenting has changed from what it used to be in the past.

She argued that the advent of technology, and social media has made today’s child more inquisitive, knowledgeable and independent-minded than those of the olden days.

She therefore advised mothers on the need to constantly engage their children, so as to have some insight into their world, and what can be done to enable them to be on the same page with such child.

A medical practitioner and health influencer, Egemba Chinonso, popularly known as Aproko Doctor, urged women to always be conscious of their health status by being moderate in whatever they consume.

He advised every woman to be aware of their vital statistics and always go for routine medical checks, whenever the need arises.

Speaking on the rationale behind the meeting, the Head of Marketing, PZ Wilmar Foods Limited, Chioma Mbanugo, explained that the Meeting, “Nourish to Flourish: Elevating Health and Wealth”, is to highlight the need for women to adequately prioritise their health and general well-being while striving to build wealth.

She added that the annual event was conceived to recognise and celebrate Nigerian women for their diligence, resilience, breaking the status quo, and relentless quest for success regardless of limitations or barriers along their path.
