The Yobe State Police Command on Thursday announced the assumption of duty by the new Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Ado Christopher.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed and issued by the Command’s PPRO, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, and made available to journalists.
According to him, the new CP is a seasoned law enforcement officer with over three decades of experience in policing.
A native of Rijau LGA, Niger State, he holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours degree in Political Science from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto (1990).
Throughout his illustrious career, CP Ado has attended various professional courses, workshops, and seminars both domestically and internationally, including training at the Israeli Military Institute, Academy for Advanced Security, Tel Aviv, Israel (2008).

He has held strategic positions in the Force, including ADC to the Governor of Enugu State, 2iC Mopol 28, Umuahia, and pioneer Commander of CTU Base 3, Port Harcourt.
As the 33rd Commissioner of Police in Yobe State since the Command’s establishment, CP Ado is committed to serving the people of Yobe State and ensuring their safety and security.
His expertise in community policing, law enforcement, tactics, investigation, and strategic leadership will be invaluable in achieving this goal.
The Command urges the public to cooperate with the new Commissioner of Police as he works to enhance security and promote the well-being of the state.
