THE Olu of Ilaro and paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, has been commended for his efforts at ensuring peaceful coexistence among his subjects and socio-economic development in the region.
The commendation was given by the Yewa Muslim community during the second Ramadan Iftar programme hosted by the traditional ruler in his palace in Ilaro, Ogun State.
The guest lecturer at the event, from Imasayi-Yewa, Alhaji Imam Bisiriyu AbdulGaniyu, urged citizens of Yewaland to live together in unity and love, stating that united communities always experience rapid development.
The lecturer called on the people of the area to continue to work with the traditional ruler towards the realisation of their dreams.
He thanked the monarch for his efforts at fostering religious harmony in Yewaland.

The monarch called on the indigenes to pray for continued peace and progress in Yewaland and Ogun state at large.
