Alhaji Lawal, however, warned youths and ward heads not to allow anyone to disrupt the peace in their domains warning further that security agencies are always on the alert to protect lives and properties and they are ready to apprehend anyone that makes attempt to disrupt peace.

The Ward head of Yelwa Tsakani, Mr Philip T Tapshin under whose jurisdiction the unrest started explained that  to put the record straight, when he heard about the incident, he called the community leader in the area and asked him why they were having a party at that hour knowing that  there was ban on any ceremony in the area in the night pointing out that he did not call the village head as reported in some national dailies as he only called a community leader of the area, not village head as reported.”

He then thanked the village, Security agencies and the Bauchi State Government for their quick intervention which help to restore law and order and warned youths in the area to avoid doing anything that will cause a breach of peace.
