Yahaya Bello pays surgery fee for Kogi journalist

Governor of Kogi, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has released the sum of N500,000 to one Mr Ali Edoh, a publisher of community newspaper in the State for eye surgery.

Mr Edoh has been having problems with both eyes for the past three years without any help for the surgery before the intervention of the governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

Meanwhile, the Chairman, Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Abu Michael, has expressed gratitude to Gov. Yahaya Bello for his intervention in the worsening medical condition of one of its members, Mr Ali Edoh, publisher of Prime Newspaper.

Mr Abu Michael made the disclosure when he visited him in his House in Lokoja preparatory to the surgery.

The Federated Chairman thanked Gov. Bello for facilitating the eye surgery, said the news of the release of funds for the surgery of Mr. Edoh by the Governor, has once again proven that Gov. Bello is a father to all.

Mr Abu wished him a successful surgery and prayed for the success of the administration and urged the citizenry to support policies and programmes of Governor Yahaya Bello.

In his remarks, Mr Ali Edoh, Publisher of Prime Newspaper, said he is overwhelmed by the show of love by Gov’ Bello, wished the administration well in its future endeavours.

Mr Ali Edoh hails from Omala Local Government Area of the State, and has been bedridden for over a year, following impaired vision. was full of joy that with the intervention by the State Government, hopes to regain his sight.
