Yahaya appoints new Chief of Staff, constitutes SUBEB, revenue boards

Following the appointment and swearing of Mohammed Kabir Unman Kukandaka, former Chief of Staff (CoS), Gombe State Government House as a National Commissioner representing Gombe State in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) by the President, Muhammadu Buhari, the State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya has approved the appointment of Abubakar Inuwa Kari as the new Chief of Staff.

This is contained in a press release signed and issued by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Senior Special Assistant (Media & Publicity) made available to Journalists in Gombe.

The release also contained that Adamu Abdullahi Masad Biri was appointed as the Special Assistant to the Governor in charge of Gombe North, Ahmed Babaiya Kombani as Special Assistant in charge of Gombe Central and Abdullahi Idris Maitama Billiri as Special Assistant for Gombe South while Umar Chiroma Abdulsalam is the Administrator of Gombe Line.

In the same vein, and in pursuant to the Gombe State Universal Basic Education Board (Amendment) Law 2011 and the Resolution of the State House of Assembly, Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of Chairman and members of the State Universal Basic Education Board, (SUBEB) to facilitate the process of fast-tracking the development of education at Primary and Secondary levels.

According to a statement, the Board comprises of Mr. Babaji Babadidi as Executive Chairman, Dr. Shuaibu Umar Doho Member I, Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kumo Member II and Mallam Sani Sabo Member III

Other members include: Representative of Ministry of Education, Representative of Federal Ministry of Education, Representative of Parents Teachers’ Association, Representative of Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Representative of Women Group, Non Academic Staff Union while the Secretary/Director Administration and Finance is to serve as the Secretary of the board.

Similarly, taking into cognizance the Gombe State Internal Revenue Administration Law 2018, section 3 (1) a-f and House of Assembly Resolution, the Governor also approved the appointment of Chairman and members of the Board of Gombe State Internal Revenue Service to reinvigorate revenue generation for the development of the state.

The Board comprises: Malam Salihu Adamu Dukku as Chairman, Umar Shamaki Tula Member I, Malam Ismaila Ishaq Member II and Alhaji Abdu Magaji Difa Member III.

Other members are Three Directors from Board of Internal Revenue (BOIR), Representative of Ministry of Finance, Representative of Ministry of Trade, Representative of Ministry of Lands while the Director Administration and Finance is to serve as Secretary of the Board. All the appointments take immediate effect.
