Published by

African music trio, Yaba Buluku Boyz consisting of DJ Tarico, Nelson Tivane, and Preck from Mozambique, and Nigerian-born music aficionado, George Beke founder of Geobek Entertainment days back visited the US Embassy in the capital of Maputo, Mozambique.

During the visit, the creators of the global hit “Yaba Buluku” had the opportunity to explore the new US Embassy building, they all passed through the consular section and took a tour of the Embassy while appreciating the works of art therein.

They lent their voices to the Embassy’s initiatives in promoting and preserving the unique culture of Mozambique while creating sustainable opportunities for the future of talents in Mozambique making positive changes. They further discussed the future of the creative industry, the challenges, the opportunities, and their upcoming projects under the direction of Geobek.

The visit aligns with Geobek’s pan-African mission to close the long-standing divide between the best musicians in Africa and the undiscovered musicians from all over the continent for a chance in the big leagues.

Speaking about the visit, Mr. Beke stated that this is yet another testament to his commitment to elevating Mozambican culture to the highest level through his Geobek Standard project, with much more to come soon.

George Beke still has a strong desire to establish himself as a leader in the new era of artist empowerment, one that uplifts the already vibrant music scene on the continent and inspires optimism in the eyes of the next generation.
