World Egg Day: FACCO West Africa advocates regular consumption of egg

MANAGING Director, FACCO West Africa Limited, Mr Bolaji Adelayo, has advised Nigerians to consume egg on a regular basis as it is good for their overall well-being.

Adelayo gave the advice during a sensitisation programme on the importance of egg consumption held in collaboration with the Poultry Association of Nigeria, Lagos state chapter for secondary school students in commemoration of the 2019 World Egg Day in Lagos.

He stated that egg is a complete food irrespective of age as it is good for children, adults and old for healthy living, growth and development.

“Aside the fact that egg promotes growth in children, it also builds strong immunity against diseases and ailment, of which the dreaded cancer is not an exception.

“This is why we are advocating that people should cultivate the habit of eating egg regularly at least one per day for their overall well-being.

“At FACCO West Africa Limited, we are promoting the eat an egg per day campaign by ensuring that the chicken feeds we produce for layers are of high quality capable of causing the chicken to produce eggs that will be sufficient for our ever-increasing population.”
