Woman burnt alive for alleged kidnap of pupils in Nasarawa

A woman was burned alive in Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on Thursday evening for alleged kidnapping of some primary school students.

The unidentified woman, who appeared like mad woman was caught for an attempt to kidnap some pupils who were on their way back from school, as she called one of them unnoticed to her that people’s attention were on her.

On approaching her for interrogation, she started confessing, as the people could not longer hold their patience, they took hold of her and laid her in the street of the main town before setting her ablaze.

Information gathered revealed that men of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) had earlier rescued the woman to their office, but the angry youth waylaid and overpowered them.

Nasarawa State has been witnessing series cases of kidnaps in the past seven months, but  the State Government has continually been promising to end this in no distance time.
