Arguably Nigeria’s most talked about and most successful cinema film in recent times, The Wedding party has, since its grand premiere in November 2016, continuously received accolades and kudos from Nigerians across the globe for its unique African storyline.
The movie which was directed by prolific film-maker, Kemi Adetiba and produced by Ebonylife Tv, filmone and Koga studios, stars Adesua Etomi as Dunni Coker, Banky W as Dozie, Alibaba and Sola Sobowale as Dunni’s parents, and Ireti Doyle and Richard Mofe-Damijo as Dozie’s parents. It also stars Zainab Balogun, AY Makun, Ikechukwu, Beverly Naya, Emma OhMaGod, Lepacious Bose amongst others.
Professor Wole Soyinka who had a private screening with CEO of Ebony life Tv, Mo Abudu and the cast of the movie also gave kudos to the production crew and cast of the movie. According to the executive producer of the film, Mo Abudu who tweeted “Much fun with Prof at our private screening of The Wedding Party, and Prof said #TheWeddingParty was Fun”.
A fan who had seen the movie three times tweeted “So I have seen the wedding party 3 times already, and Sola Sobowale is the real deal. It is the best movie this year by far.
