Lagos Grows Talent 2017 may have come to an end but the excitment will linger in the minds of the participants for a long time.
After recieving their mud cheques at the venue of the event last week, the winners finally got their money on Monday at the Sodium Brand Solutions office on Allen-Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos.
The money was presented by Mrs Titilope Oremade, the General Manager for the agency.
Excitement and joy filled the air as the winners finally collected their real cheques and headed to the bank to cash it.
According to Mrs Oremade,”This is a life-changing opportunity for the top three winners, the first being, Ishola Idris, who won N1.5 million . The second winner, Onyekachi Alexandra went home with N1 million and the third winner, Gouvani Vidal walked away with half a million naira.
LGT is an initiative of the Lagos State government as part of the activities of the yearly, One Lagos Fiesta.
The initiative was instituted by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in order to promote the state as a hub for entertainment and to source and promote talents from all the nooks and cranny of the state.
Talents will be encouraged financially and with free publicity which can then propel them to continue to do more in Lagos and achieve greater feat.
Speaking at the cheque presentation, the winner, Ishola Idris appreciated the government for the gesture. “I am very grateful to Governor Ambode. I love him so much, I want him to be my daddy,” he said.
