A thirty-year-old man, Afolabi Adedayo, has approached an Ado-Ekiti Customary Court in Ekiti State, to dissolve his eight-year-old marriage to his wife, Kemi over adultery.

Afolabi  told the court that he sought the dissolution on grounds of lack of affection and frequent fight by his wife.

The plaintiff told the court that his wife was fond of sending love messages to her secret admirers and lovers. “Whenever I query her, she turns it into a fight, he said”

“My wife is unfaithful and she is not a straightforward person.

She has no respect for my parents and insults them at will, ”he further added.

He, therefore, urged the court to dissolve their marriage to enable him live happily.

The respondent, according to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), was not present in court.

The court president, Mrs Olayinka Akomolede, ordered that another court notice be served the respondent and adjourned the case till March 9 for further hearing.
