Why we re-named Nigeria CFO Awards —Naphtal, CEO, Instinct Waves

ORGANISERS of the Nigeria CFO Awards, Instinct Waves, has explained that the decision to re-name the award ‘Nigeria Finance Innovation Awards’, was informed by the need to acknowledge the significance of the financial sector and properly celebrate individuals and organisations in the sector  for their  roles in  national development.

Recently, the Nigeria CFO Awards was recently re-named Nigeria Finance Innovation Awards, by the organisers of the annual awards.

The Chief Executive Officer of the B2B event company,  Mr. Akin Naphtal described the  re-naming  as part of the decisions of the organization to effectively re-focus and re-organise the awards to make it truly relevant.

“It is  an honour to celebrate with organisations that had been at the forefront of promoting economic growth and lifting the veil on individuals that had contributed immensely to the sector.

Naphtal added that this year’s event, the fourth in the series and which is scheduled to hold in Lagos, next month, November, will be used to reward success, product innovations and various experts in the sector that have  contributed to the nation’s robust financial sector.

“The award  is to showcase the efforts of  firms and  executives towards organizations sustainability. It will also showcase excellent work that has been rendered by financial firms that provided them with the services, support and technology that enabled their successes.

“The finance industry is a dynamic sector that keeps Nigeria economy evolving. The awards will  recognize finance executives, teams and leading finance organizations whose outstanding leadership practices have raised the standards of accountability within the profession and showcase brilliance in managing organizations’ wealth,” Naphtal stated.

According to him, the 4th Nigeria Finance Innovation Awards night will also provide an exceptional opportunity for stakeholders in the finance sector to network, entertain clients, and reinforce relationships with partners.
