Why we invested over N500m in youth entrepreneurial devt, health, others ― Foundation

The Bet9ja Foundation, a charitable organisation, has disclosed that it invested over N500 million into the development of digital and entrepreneurial skills of Nigerian youths, the health sector in the last one year.

The foundation disclosed this in a statement marking the release if its 2024 impact report titled “A Year of Transformative Change,” noting that its 132 projects were carried out in 29 states of the federation to address critical challenges in the areas of healthcare, education, community infrastructure, sport development, and youth development.

According to the statement jointly signed by its Vice President and Trustee, Ada Cuomo, and Marketing & Communications Manager, Omotola Oronti, the foundation restated its commitment towards championing its corporate social investment (CSI) initiatives that are aimed at significantly enhancing the lives, communities and environment across the country.

“Committed to enhancing lives and supporting the Nigerian government, Bet9ja Foundation in the last one year has successfully initiated and executed over 132 projects across 29 states in Nigeria.

“With investments worth over five hundred million naira(N500,000,000), the foundation has made incredible progress through various impactful projects, that has equipped the youth with digital & entrepreneurial skills, enhanced athletic skills for international competitions, bridged medical gaps by donating equipment, medical treatment/knowledge, installation of solar panel streetlights and provision of pipe-borne water in rural areas,” the statement read in part.

It also quoted the BOT member, Cuomo as saying, “We are very excited that in the last one year, we have touched millions of lives in many communities and have impacted the environment positively. The future is bright, and we’re just getting started transforming lives in Nigeria; our dreams for the coming years are even bigger.”
