Timilehin Olawale Fagbemi is the creative head and owner of ToF menswear clothing. He spoke with ROTIMI IGE on how his latest collection for intending grooms will revolutionise the industry, among other topics.
Why are you launching ‘Elegante’?
The collection ‘Elegante’ is created as a go-to look book and a guide for intending grooms with regards to their looks from their civil wedding, pre wedding, white wedding and after party look.
The beauty of the collection is that it is all encompassing, all that you’d need for these looks to come to life has been included in a package. Ranging from the shirts, accessories to style the looks and your shoes are not left out so you can get all you want in a place saving you the stress of looking around for each of these items.
What is the concept behind the collection?
Elegante is an array of exquisite men’s wedding suit collection that exudes timeless elegance and sophistication. The collection features a range of classic suit styles, ranging from single-breasted to double-breasted jackets in various hues and fabrics.
A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we want to make sure you cherish every moment. This collection is not only designed to make your wedding day special, but also to ensure that you create memories that will last a lifetime.
What do you intend to achieve in the fashion industry?
Production is major challenge in the industry and solving this challenge for businesses owners and other stakeholders is what we plan to achieve.
Creating an ecosystem where fashion designers have to worry less about production and how to keep their tailors, a situation where tailors are gainfully employed and can have a clear career path which encourages growth, competence and expertise to the production line in of the fashion industry.
You styled a couple of celebrities at the just concluded ninth AMVCA, how was the experience?
The experience was amazing and the most beautiful part of this is the process of curating the styles for each individual that we styled.
We styled Jide Awobona, Iremide Adeoye and Rotimi Ige. We ensured they look their best for the night and totally slayed. The best part is the buzz that came with the styles which is a testament of a job well done.
